Jimit Shah is an experienced Energy Analyst in the United States. He is an energy efficiency professional with expertise in program design, modeling, budgeting, and management with a focus on new technologies and approaches. Jimit is currently helping New York City Housing Authority, United States largest public housing authority, to lay groundwork and lead $400 million of Energy Performance Contracts, and to reduce its carbon emissions by 30 percent by 2027.

Prior to his current challenge, Jimit worked for Eversource Energy where he helped clients identify energy savings opportunities through federal and state subsidy programs via rebates and tax credits. Additionally, he conducted engineering audits per ASHRAE, NEC and IECC codes and provided strategic and technical insights into energy savings, and potential market gap by keeping abreast of changes in federal, state and city policies and incentive structure.

Jimit holds a Master’s degree in Energy Systems from Northeastern University in Boston and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Viva Institute of Technology in Mumbai. Jimit plans to utilize the knowledge gained through his professional experience in the Energy Efficiency space from the United States to transform India’s rapidly growing energy efficiency market and to contribute towards meeting its Sustainable Development Goals.
